We toured a few biblical sites today near Amman.  Mount Nebo, the Dead Sea, and Jesus’ Baptism site.  I was really only interested in the Dead Sea. We didn’t have time to swim, BUT here’s a few interesting Dead Sea facts:

• it has 33% salt content, oceans only 3%
• it is the LOWEST point on earth
• it creates an atmospheric filter, which creates a micro climate where the burning wavelengths from the sun are blocked, allowing the skin to tan but not burn.
