Philippines – first look
October 27, 2009  |  by paul  |  Philippines, theTravel  |  , , ,

First day here in the Philippines, we visited some work in the City.  There was major flood damage near the river that caused mud to fill 2 stories of homes.  SP has been organizing teams to help clean up.  Talk about a dirty job…

It’s been 3 weeks now and things are just now starting to get back to normal for these people.  We are headed down south this morning to a much more rural area where people are still digging themselves out.  Wanted to give a quick look so far as to what I’ve seen.

  1. Paul. These are fantastic photos. I can feel the mud between my toes (because I’d be wearing my flops). Nice off camera flash work on the mud slinging photo. I like it. While you’re there can you pick me up a D700. The high ISO files are looking so fresh and clean.

  2. Paul-

Enjoyed the photos. I’ve been to this region of the Philippines several times shooting humanitarian photography.

    Paalam po-
