It’s been happening often on trips lately. One kid will catch a glimpse of the back of my camera as I’m shooting and he’s hooked. He wants to see every shot I take after that. Then the crowds come, kids come from everywhere. All of them wanting to see the little picture on the back of this wierd black box. I realized that I can take advantage of this. I tell one of the kids to go over there and pose for me. He stands there in a boring stance, so I give him some help. This hand here, that foot across that one, eyes up, turn head, perfect now STAY. Click Click….Click. I give the model the first look, but I know the whole swarm will want to see. “WAHHHH, OOOOH!” laughter, smiles, etc. “Him! Him!” they all point towards the next model. The best part about it is that none of them ask, “Hey can you tag me on that in facebook?” They are completely happy just seeing it for the moment.
